šŸ“š Introducing the RaĆces Lending Library

Latinx stories made to be shared, not shelved.

At RaĆces Books, we believe books hold power — the power to heal, to teach, to connect, and to remind us who we are. But we also believe that power should be accessible. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce the RaĆces Lending Library, a community-centered way to enjoy Latinx-authored books without the pressure to buy every single one.

šŸ’³ How It Works

For $20/month, members get access to borrow books from our RaĆces Lending Library collection. It’s simple:

  • šŸ“– Borrow one book at a time

  • šŸ” Return it within two weeks

  • šŸŒ€ Borrow again — as many times as you’d like, month after month

You can pick up locally at our events or request shipping (shipping fees may apply). Once your membership is active, you’ll get access to our borrow request form so you can let us know which book you’d like to check out first!

🌱 Why a Lending Library?

Because not everyone has the budget to build a bookshelf filled with $20 paperbacks. Because sometimes, people want to read something before committing to it. Because community means sharing resources — especially stories that reflect our cultura, resilience, and joy.

We’re keeping one copy of every book we carry just for lending, so you can explore Latinx literature freely and on your own terms.

šŸ”— How to Join

Becoming a member is easy:

  1. Sign up for the RaĆces Lending Library Membership here

  2. Browse our library catalog [link to collection or page]

  3. Fill out a short form to request your first book

  4. Pick it up or have it mailed to you

  5. Read, return, repeat šŸ’«

🧔 Thank You for Supporting Access

Your $20/month helps us keep this project going, expanding our library, and offering more people the chance to connect with books that look, feel, and sound like home.

This is just the beginning. Let’s build something beautiful, one borrowed book at a time.
